Install Ajenti on CentOS/RHEL 6.x

Install EPEL repositories:

[php]wget http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/x86_64/epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm[/php]

[php]sudo rpm -Uvh epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm[/php]

Add repository key:

[php]wget http://repo.ajenti.org/ajenti-repo-1.0-1.noarch.rpm[/php]

[php]rpm -i ajenti-repo-1.0-1.noarch.rpm[/php]

Install the package:

[php]yum install ajenti[/php]

Start the service:

[php]service ajenti restart[/php]

Package does not match intended download?

[php]yum clean metadata[/php]

  • The panel will be available on HTTPS port 8000. The default username is root, and the password is admin

Install Ajenti on Debian 5+

Install a package from backports:

All backports are deactivated by default (i.e. the packages are pinned to 100 by using ButAutomaticUpgrades: yes in the Release files. If you want to install something from backports run:

[php]apt-get -t squeeze-backports install “package”[/php]

of course you can use aptitude as well:

[php]aptitude -t squeeze-backports install “package”[/php]

Add repository key:

[php]wget http://repo.ajenti.org/debian/key -O- | apt-key add -[/php]

Add repository to /etc/apt/sources.list:

[php]echo “deb http://repo.ajenti.org/debian main main debian” >> /etc/apt/sources.list[/php]

Install the package:

[php]apt-get update && apt-get install ajenti[/php]

Start the service:

[php]service ajenti restart[/php]

  • The panel will be available on HTTPS port 8000. The default username is root, and the password is admin

Add repository key:

[php]wget http://repo.ajenti.org/debian/key -O- | sudo apt-key add -[/php]

Add repository to /etc/apt/sources.list:

[php]sudo echo “deb http://repo.ajenti.org/ng/debian main main ubuntu” >> /etc/apt/sources.list[/php]

Install the package:

[php]sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install ajenti[/php]

Start the service:

[php]sudo service ajenti restart[/php]

If you are using UFW firewall:

[php]ufw allow 8000[/php]

  • The panel will be available on HTTPS port 8000. The default username is root, and the password is admin
